Why a social forum, why now, why Detroit?
This call will discuss the political context, role and limitations of the USSF, provide information on who is involved, how it is coming together and what are its goals and expectations. We will also discuss what the forum will look like locally and how various communities are engaging in the process, what will be left behind, and specific ways funders can support local needs and projects, and participate in work brigades at the Forum itself.
Mark Randazzo, FNTG(facilitator); Danielle Mahonnes, NPC member (CTWO); Diana Seales Copeland, NPC member (EMEAC); Oya Amakisi, NPC member (Detroit Women of Color International Film Festival).

How the forum is organized, who is involved and how they are engaging in the process?

It will also discuss the many creative ways of bringing people to Detroit, including in caravans, through cross-county marches and by bike.
Sarah Christiansen, Solidago Foundation (facilitator); Tammy Bang Luu, NPC member (Labor/Community Strategy Center); B Loewe and Cindy Akudo, USSF Field organizers.
